Rock fall protection mesh mainly consists of four parts: wire rope net or ring net (when small falling rocks need to be intercepted, an additional layer of wire mesh is required), fixing system (anchor rod, anchor rope, base and support rope), pressure relief ring and steel column.

How the Rock fall Protection Mesh Works

The steel columns and wire rope net of Rock Fall Protection Mesh are connected into a whole, which provides surface protection for the protected area, thereby preventing rock and soil collapse and playing the role of slope protection.

The rockfall protection mesh's flexibility and interception strength are sufficient to absorb and disperse the kinetic energy of rockfalls up to 500 kJ. The design and use of energy dissipation rings further enhance the system's impact resistance. Compared to rigid interception and mortar retaining walls, the SNS passive protection mesh improves construction techniques, reducing construction time and costs. Passive protection meshes are suitable for use in high mountainous areas with buffer zones adjacent to buildings and facilities. They intercept rockfalls, flying rocks, avalanches, and debris flows outside the building, preventing damage.
